Yes, everyone is welcome to bring a plus one! We can’t wait to celebrate with you and your significant other. To keep the atmosphere cozy and intimate, we kindly ask that plus ones are reserved for romantic partners (spouses, fiancés, or long-term significant others) rather than casual friends.
Yes, we want to make sure our family and friends with little ones can celebrate with us. Please keep the following in mind when filling out your RSVP:RSVP Details: It is mandatory to list each child’s name in your response. For toddlers, please specify whether they will require a meal or if they are still too young for standard food.Safety & Supervision: Our venue features a large open territory with a pond and various setups, therefore parents must supervise their children and ensure their safety at all times.
For our local guests driving from Vienna or Carinthia, Graz is easily accessible via the main highways.
If you are choosing your own accommodations, please keep the group transportation logistics in mind:
If you are staying at a different location within Graz: You are more than welcome to stay wherever you like! Graz is a very beautiful, walkable city, so you can easily explore, enjoy the sights, and head over to Hotel Das Weitzer on foot, by car, or via a local taxi to catch the central shuttle service for the pick-up and drop-off.
If you are staying outside of Graz entirely: If you choose to stay in a different area altogether and won't be using the Graz shuttle, you will need to arrange your own transportation directly to and from the wedding venue.
For guests traveling from abroad, we recommend flying into Vienna International Airport (VIE).
Vienna and Graz are very well connected by a comfortable, direct train that takes about 2.5 hours. The direct train to Graz departs from the Vienna Main Railway Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof). To get from Vienna Airport to the Main Railway Station (and vice versa), you can easily catch a quick, direct connecting train right at the terminal.
Booking Tips:
All train tickets can be purchased via the local Austrian railway app/website, ÖBB.
We highly recommend booking your Vienna-to-Graz train tickets well in advance. ÖBB offers heavily discounted advance fares (Sparschiene) before the travel season kicks off, which can provide you with very nice prices!
Yes, group transportation will be provided for all guests! There will be a shuttle service before the welcome event to take everyone to the venue, as well as a return transfer back after the festivities end.
The designated pick-up and drop-off hub for everyone will be Hotel Das Weitzer. Exact departure times and finer details will follow closer to the wedding date once our transportation company finalises the schedule.
Yes, parking is available at the venue for anyone choosing to drive.
While there are a few minor, very rustic accommodation options in the immediate area surrounding the venue, they are quite limited in number and specific in style. Because we don't have personal experience with these local stays, we can not provide any recommendations. You are also welcome to reach out directly to our wedding vineyard, as they may still have a few rooms available on-site
The dress code for our wedding is Vineyard Elegant. We kindly invite our guests to dress in our specified wedding dress code colours, which you can find attached below.
Since the venue includes outdoor territory, grassy areas, and vineyard paths, we highly recommend choosing comfortable footwear or opting for block heels/wedges over stiletto heels!
Late September in Styria typically brings beautiful autumn weather with daytime temperatures around 20-25°C, so there is no need to dress too warmly for the daytime festivities. However, please keep in mind that vineyards can get quite breezy and temperatures can drop significantly to around 10°C once the sun goes down. We highly recommend bringing a light jacket, blazer, or shawl to stay comfortable during the evening hours!
We have hired wonderful professional photographers and videographers to capture our ceremony. To ensure they can do their jobs perfectly and to keep the moment intimate, we strongly ask that guests remain seated and keep their phones away during the ceremony itself. Once the vows are exchanged and the reception starts, you are more than welcome to take as many photos as you like!
Yes, vegetarian and vegan options will absolutely be available! However, the catering team requires these meals to be arranged in advance. Please make sure to explicitly list any vegetarian, vegan, or other specific dietary restrictions when you submit your RSVP through the website so we can ensure the kitchen is prepared for you.
For the ceremony, seating is open, except for the very first row which is reserved for parents and immediate family. For the dinner, there will be assigned seating. A seating chart will be displayed at the entrance of the reception space to help you find your designated table and seat.Afterward, for the party, feel free to mingle, move around, and sit wherever you like!
The venue will serve a wonderful selection of wine directly from the vineyard, alongside beer, soft drinks, water, coffee, and juices throughout the celebration! If you're in the mood for cocktails or spirits, these will be available for purchase at the bar.
We will have a professional DJ spinning a tailored event playlist for the night! While you are welcome to suggest your favourite tracks, please keep in mind that the DJ has final veto power and will make the ultimate decision on whether a song fits the current vibe, timeline, and flow of the evening.
